Discipline means to instruct or training to a person to follow a particular order or rules. Discipline refers to methods of modeling character and teaching self-control and acceptable behavior. Teaching a child what is right and wrong is an example of Discipline. Teaching a child to wash his/her hands before meals in a particular pattern of behavior. A person who discipline denotes a person who enforces order called disciplinarian. We all know that our parents discipline us always in order for us to control our self and to adopt the pattern of behavior. We must practice our self to discipline like obeying rules in home and schools.
There are many different methods of discipline and these are military discipline, church discipline, child discipline and self-discipline. Military discipline refers to the regulation of the behaviors of members of any military, involving rules that govern goal orientation and behavior inside and outside the institution. Church discipline refers to the ten commandments of God and his teaching and doctrines. Child discipline is the process of teaching children to behave in different circumstances. This is often done with a disciplinary actions or words either physical or mental. Self- discipline can be defined as the ability to motivate oneself and in spite of a negative emotional state. Example of it is to control ourselves from eating unnecessary foods that make us fat.
